Baby shower...A Little Wildflower is on the Way

Exactly 12 years, I received my first ever Mother's Day gift. My mother sent me these three "Blessing Bracelets", a sweet symbol of love, one for each triplet I was pregnant with. But just one month later, I was on hospital bedrest, just weeks away from becoming a bereaved mother.

Now, all these years later, life is good. I have an amazing surviving triplet, and a "rainbow baby", a 5-year-old who helped me realize that happiness and grief can coexist.

I'm googling at putting on a brave face, at embracing all that life has handed me. But to be honest, this day is a difficult one for me and for many others.

Maybe you lost a child.

Maybe you've faced infertility and long to be a mother.

Maybe your mother passed away.

Or maybe you have a strained relationship.

Whatever the reason, please know this: It's OK to be sad. It's OK to grieve. It's OK to feel a range of emotions.

Sometimes there's no sugar coating needed, life can be tough.

But on days like today, please know. you are not alone. ❤
