August 1st…
It’s hard to believe we’ve already turned the calendar to another month. It seems like just yesterday spring was arriving, gardens were being planted, and long summer days stretched before us. Now, somehow, the year is quietly slipping toward another autumn.
Soon the hills will trade their summer green for deep crimson, burnt orange, and golden leaves. The crisp mornings, the smell of woodsmoke, pumpkins on porches, and the sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet will return once again.
The older I get, the more I realize how quickly the seasons pass. They remind me to slow down, treasure the ordinary moments, and hold a little tighter to the people I love. Time keeps moving, but so do God’s blessings—faithful in every season.
May we not rush through these days, but pause long enough to notice the beauty around us, the memories we’re making, and the grace that carries us from one season to the next.
Autumn is coming… and with it, another reminder that even in change, there is incredible beauty.
