🇺🇸🍷 Exploring Event Destinations Along the Monticello Wine Trail

Yesterday was a fantastic day for Gold Thread Marketing & Events as we explored some of Charlottesville’s standout venues — including Trump Winery and Trump Cidery — both of which have expanded beautifully over the last 5–6 years.

From the moment you arrive, the property makes an impression: 608 American flags line the drive, creating a powerful and patriotic welcome. A wedding had just wrapped up as we arrived, and it was easy to see why couples choose this location. The views, the flow, and the event‑ready infrastructure make it a strong contender for destination celebrations.

We also stopped at Jefferson Vineyards, where we picked up some great branded wine — a perfect nod to the excitement building around America’s 250th anniversary. If you haven’t explored the Monticello Wine Trail, it’s worth the trip. With 44+ wineries, it’s a treasure trove of venues, experiences, and inspiration for planners and wine lovers alike.

Great day at the AAOBA Annual Conference at the Berglund Center in Roanoke. The Expo was packed, the energy was high, and it was great reconnecting with familiar faces from my hospitality days while meeting new people along the way.

Beautiful weather, strong turnout, and Fully Promoted of Lynchburg, VA was glad to be part of it. With Francisco Negron .

Yeah! I’m excited to share that I’ve officially completed and passed my ServeSafe Certification.
In the world of meetings, events, hospitality, and even senior living, food safety isn’t optional — it’s essential. Understanding proper handling, preparation, and service practices is a responsibility I take seriously, and I felt this certification would strengthen the work I do in planning and managing events.
Whether it’s a corporate luncheon, a community event, or a high‑end experience, safety and quality matter. This certification helps me bring an even higher level of professionalism to the table.
A big thank‑you to my proctor Rebecca Mason for making the process smooth and positive. It's been a while since I took a test but I enjoyed the ride. Eager to put my knowledge to work and to assist others do the same. Chris Gulluscio You're next! :)

We had the best morning at the A.M. Alliance last Friday — nearly 40 of us gathered at Camp K*m ba yah, sipping Joe Beans coffee, roasting s’mores, and networking in the beauty of a crisp spring day.

This camp is such a gift to our community, and the fact that it’s open to the public makes it even more special.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.
