Private music lessons are the most effective and efficient way to teach students a musical instrument. At Wild Roots, our goal as instructors is to lay a solid foundation, teaching each student proper technique of their instrument, as well as the ability to read accurately and confidently, the language of music notation.

"Discovering Music" Class (Birth-Adult)

The class is designed for the whole family to enjoy music together. We will sing, dance, and explore many musical activities while learning the foundation of music skills. There will also be exploration of many different instruments. See you in music class this summer!Instructor: Marie Cole

Thursdays at 1-1:45 pm (June 11, 18, 25, July 9, 16, 30)
6 classes total
Tuition: $90 first child, $67.50 second child, $0 third child
There is no addition cost for adults to attend.

Summer Session 2026 (Starts June 1) is a great time to start a new instrument or improve on the level of playing you are currently experiencing. Wild Roots offers private lessons on a variety of instruments.

They include: violin/fiddle, viola, cello, guitar, ukulele, banjo, harp, piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bagpipe, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, marching and orchestral percussion, drum set, and voice.

Congratulations to the Cleveland County All-County Bands. Both Middle School and High School level bands had a wonderful concert last evening at Crest High School. Matt Putnam was the Middle School clinician/director and Chris White was the High School clinician/director. Autumn Sowell (clarinet) and Amber Sowell (flute) from Crest HS both won 1st chair in their sections by audition. And both had featured solos. Autumn is a private clarinet student of Eben Mann and Amber is a private flute student of Allen Gilbert.

Whether you enjoy telling your own stories or love being intrigued and entertained by others telling theirs, join master storytellers Doug Elliott, John Fowler, and Lance Smith as they share their comical, thoughtful, and wise stories with the Rutherford County, NC community. You will also get a chance to tell your story, if desired.
