There will forever be new projects, Ideas, and challenges that pique my attention. These eventually become obsessions. As of this moment I can tell you that I am completely obsessed with my sitcom STAR STRUCK (and several scripts that I’ve written and a upcoming book that I’m nursing). I will forever be obsessed with weddings, parties. Art, design., cooking, baking, and just about anything else that I can sink my creative teeth into. That leads me to another project that I was literally forced into. At this point. I’m not sure if this came about through divine intervention or simply poor workmanship, but thanks to an exploding pipe in the middle of the night... my kitchen is undergoing a full remodel. It’s actually something that I’ve always wanted to do, but was deterred by the cost. This is because, in the sheer lunacy of my mind... I like what I like and want what I want. My eye for attractive and beautiful things is both a blessing and a curse. For example... if I’m replacing the base cabinets and the cabinets in my island, it only makes since to replace every cabinet in the kitchen... right?
And if I’m replacing them, shouldn’t I replace them with what I really and truly want? Is it my fault that what I want are the Euro high gloss cabinets? Of course ... in my mind these need to be topped off with a natural stone. Something that would do them justice... so in Randi-land marble would be the obvious choice. Enter the Bardiglio Nuvolato slabs. Can you see the level of insanity that I’m dealing with? I’m a sick woman and need some serious help. **Sigh**

Yes I can admit that I’m not making rational decisions. Yes I know that I should humble myself and go for practicality
Yes I should learn when to say when...
I should do all of those things and more...

BUT...

I’m a single woman with no one to reel me in when I go too far— APDTA!!
These product choices are purely outrageous in person!! APDTA!!
I’m a true scientist in the kitchen, and I think I’m deserving of a great laboratory.

So. I’ve decided to share the joys and excruciating pains of my kitchen remodel. Here are some of the highlights.

This was the start of the table scape for the baby shower for our family’s next generation. The fun-filled celebration included two locales. One being a tent decked In white, royal blue , and gold, with green accents with lots of gold confetti balloons, Blue hydrangeas crowns fit for a newborn king, and more. Guests enjoyed a lavish buffet of salmon, chicken, beef, citrus rice, vegetables, garden salad, fruit, as well as a taco and nacho bar. Cake created to satisfy most pallets...layers of marble with fudge, banana, and choc chips; lemon with lemon curd and raspberry; rum with golden rum filling.

Since I’ve had this page for so long and haven’t committed to posting on it, I’ve decided share something each week. There are sooo many projects that I am undertaking and many many things that I desire to accomplish. So I may as well start here. Prayerfully someone may find something of interest here or perhaps have a question or ideas that we can explore together. So let this serve as an opening for what’s to come
