Sometimes you just happen to be in the right place at the right time. ❤️
Earlier today, we stopped at Schiek’s RV to grab a part for our RV and noticed food trucks, tables, raffle baskets, and people setting up outside. After asking what was going on, we learned they were preparing a benefit for Lev, a four-year-old boy who tragically passed away, with the community coming together to support his family.
By complete coincidence, we happened to have one of our cameras with us.
We asked if they’d mind if we captured a little bit of what was happening, and we’re so glad we did. What we saw was an incredible showing of love, local businesses donating raffle baskets, vendors showing up, friends volunteering their time, and a community rallying around a family going through something no family should ever have to experience.
The day got away from us and unfortunately we weren’t able to get this video posted while the benefit was still happening. We stopped back afterward, had the opportunity to meet Lev’s parents and show them the video, and with their blessing, we wanted to share it anyway.
Because while today’s benefit may be over, the opportunity to support Lev’s family isn’t.
If you weren’t able to attend today and would still like to help, we’ve tagged/linked the Werdin family’s GoFundMe below. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping this family in your thoughts and prayers, every bit of support matters.
We didn’t plan on filming anything today. We simply walked into Schiek’s RV looking for a part with a camera sitting in the vehicle and somehow ended up being able to capture a small piece of something much bigger.
Rest easy, Lev. ❤️
