I'm a product of a broken home. A single mother with 6 kids. I'm a fatherless product of the ghettos and slums. As well as the not so ghettos. I took experience from both and applied the knowledge as needed. Yes I'm African American. Yes I rose above my situation. Yes I'm a cop and love what I do.
Stop making excuses for why something is the way it is and start making changes. I have never doubted that some bad things have happened, but in the now and in this moment, I'm focused on our push into the future.
I've been labeled everything in the book for being a cop. I've been call everything under the sun for being a cop AND being black. I'm proud to bear my badge. We have to learn to stop tearing one another down and start building people up. Learn to love one another. That's the only way to progress from here. In this moment, we move forward. That is what is needed and that is what will be done at all cost.
We will rise, not as one, but in unison. 💙❤
Enough of the chaos, our world can't handle anymore 💙
