We don't usually make much noise outside of sharing and engaging with delicious pics and videos of the hard work and dedication we've committed to honoring every client and every event. There seems to be some traction lately around folks offering severely low balled prices and offering quality and quantity that simply are not realistic, feasible, or fair somewhere within the business cycle.
It's not my place to judge, and honestly my time is spent more on building my brand and enhancing my services, but I feel like both the consumers and fellow cooks, chefs, and/or caterers deserve to know. Whenever a promo or sale is too good to believe, it is.
Cutting into the teams pay, short changes to the menu, mediocre display...something, someome, somewhere will suffer. The math don't math on $10k worth of service for $5K. I've been watching and calculating and shaking both my fist and my head. Aht-Aht honey. Don't fall for that. Your money, moment, memory, and event are worth the investment and the guarantee that you'll get what you paid for.
Around here, we specialize in Service, Flavor, and Repeat Clients. Will I offer a bridal party a complimentary Grazing Table or Brunch Board? Absolutely! Will I go above and beyond to ensure my client's needs are met? 💯 Am I going to fairly compensate and appreciate my team? Indubitably! Because of that and our track record for honoring that, our clients seek us out, do not question the cost, and know that what they receive is Reasonable and Worthwhile.
I'm not gonna rob my family of eating or being comfortable just to say that I have bookings into 2026 or 2027. I won't commit to excellence, then provide sub par, typical catering.
