Welcome to our new little series where Genevieve shares a peek behind the petals — from floral techniques and wedding work to a few tricks she’s learned along the way. 💐

For our first Petal Talk, I had the pleasure of creating a Varmala, also known as a Jaimala, a traditional floral garland exchanged by the couple during an Indian wedding ceremony. 🤍

There’s something about August. 🌻
The flowers are still bright, the drinks are still iced, the days are still warm… but you can feel a new season waiting just around the corner. 🍂
Maybe that’s what makes these last few August days feel a little extra special. 🤎
We’re soaking them in while we still can.

And I have to agree.
That’s one of my favorite things about what I do. Flowers get to be part of so many different pieces of life. 🤍

The big celebrations. The quiet “thinking of you.” Birthdays, weddings, new babies, anniversaries, sympathy, thank-yous… and sometimes simply because a Tuesday could use a little more beauty.

There really doesn’t have to be an occasion for flowers.
Maybe Monet had it right after all—I must have flowers, always and always. 🌸

The Netflix documentary may be dramatic… but saying goodbye to Lily actually is. 🥹🌸

It has been such a joy and a privilege to have Lily as part of our little flower shop family and to watch her grow during her time with us. We are SO sad to see her go, but even more excited and proud to watch her step into this next chapter.

Lily is trading flowers for a whole new kind of adventure as she heads off to join the U.S. Coast Guard! 🇺🇸⚓️

We know she is going to do incredible things, and while our shop won’t be quite the same without her, we’re so grateful for all the laughs, memories, hard work, and time we got to share with her.

Lily, we’re cheering you on every step of the way. 🤍🌷
