Behind the blooms 🤍
Over 30 years ago it all began for me with flowers, I’ve learned I’m most comfortable right here, peeking out from behind them.
I started as a floral designer, hands in buckets, learning that every stem has its own personality. Then retail management taught me about people, pace, and what makes someone stop and pick something up. Eventually I combined both and became a floral merchandising director for a big box retailer, deciding which flowers would land in stores across the country.
It was big and exciting. But somewhere along the way, I got further from the part I fell in love with: the moment an arrangement comes together and you know exactly who it’s going to make smile, offer comfort, or remind they’re loved.
So almost three years ago, I came back to it. I opened the doors to my own little space, and Flair became my return to the flowers, and to the people.
Now every arrangement that leaves my studio carries all of it: the designer who learned the craft, the manager who learned to listen, and the director who learned the business. But mostly, it carries the woman who just really, really loves flowers.
Hi, I’m Ivette. Nice to finally (almost) meet you. 🌸
What’s a flower that holds a memory for you? 👇
