Hello! Here’s a few things to think about when trying to decide if you want a shadow box or frame. Let me start off by saying each flower is different and I never know exactly how your flowers will turn out until I dry them. Some flowers hold their color better than others. It all depends on the type of flower. While flattening flowers for frames, the flowers almost always change colors. They usually dry out darker. White roses turn yellowish, red roses turn dark red or a garnet color. Yellow roses usually hold their color pretty well. Pink roses hold their color well but will turn darker also. I dry out shadow box flowers and framed flowers 2 different ways. With a shadow box, the flowers hold their color a lot better! There is always a chance that the flowers will have some color loss but there’s a significant difference in shadow boxes and frames. Framed flowers give a more natural look while shadow box flowers look like they are still alive.
