Get • dining diaries, an asmr:
after 5 months straight of only being in new york city, i was due for a little escape... so when i was invited to check out a restaurant on long island, i was excited!
located just one LIRR stop outside of the city (via the babylon lone), lynbrook was founded in 1864 and named after brooklyn, as a tribute to the original home of many of the town’s first residents. in the center of the village sits prime 39, a steakhouse that brings the vibrancy of nightlife to not only dinner but also brunch! think creative cocktails, happy hours, dj nights, a boozy weekend brunches, an all around party vibes! as they celebrated its 5th anniversary this year, i was invited to checkout their updated menu and interiors!
with prime 39 being a steakhouse, naturally steak & eggs are a must they were the clear winner! a peppery filet mignon with 2 eggs (any way you like) and home fries, you can’t go wrong there. typically i’m not a fan of grits but prime 39’s grits, i was a fan! a creamy and somehow smooth grits topped with buttery and garlicky shrimp, an umami combo. to finish, i always need a sweet bite so the strawberry short cake french toast was perfect. no additional syrup needed.
thanks prime 39 for hosting me!
