☀️ **What a Summer at Polar Cubs!** ☀️
I cannot believe how quickly this summer has gone by! We have had such a great summer at Polar Cubs, and I am so proud of our teachers and kiddos. 💜
**Jemielle and Megan** have done an amazing job with our preschool and school-age kids. Their classroom has been organized and full of activities, fun, learning, and structure. Each morning, the kids went over their classroom rules and expectations together, and it was wonderful to see how well they learned the routine and followed it throughout the summer.
One of my favorite ideas was Jemielle's **Bright Spot Award.** 🌟
The kids had something positive to work toward every day by showing:
🌟 Kindness
🌟 Responsibility
🌟 Respect
🌟 Teamwork
🌟 Helping Others
🌟 Good Listening
🌟 A Positive Attitude
The kids really strived to earn the Bright Spot Award, and I loved watching them get excited about being recognized for making good choices. Jemielle also found fun ways throughout the day to encourage them and let them earn special little treats and rewards.
**Katie and Paige** have also done such a wonderful job with our infants and toddlers. 💕 Caring for our littlest kiddos takes so much patience, consistency, and love. I especially love seeing Katie sit down and read to the children. 📚 Those simple moments mean so much and help build a love of books and learning from such a young age.
Another thing I have loved this summer is our **daily walks together as a whole school.** The older kids buddy up with the younger children who are walking instead of riding in the stroller. Watching our big kids help and look out for our little ones is exactly the kind of kindness, responsibility, and teamwork we want to teach at Polar Cubs. ❤️
A great summer doesn't just happen. It takes teachers who show up every day, plan activities, keep routines going, teach expectations, comfort little ones, encourage big kids, read stories, take walks, solve problems, and make childhood fun.
**Jemielle, Megan, Katie & Paige — THANK YOU for everything you have done for our kiddos this summer.** I appreciate you and the wonderful summer you helped create at Polar Cubs Childcare Center! 🐻💜
