The rumors are true. Concerts are coming back. But before we get started, here’s a handy guide on how things are gonna go.

RULE #1: No guest list.
Don’t ask. Not now. Everyone in the live music industry has been out of work for 13 months and we all need your support now more than ever. Buy the damn ticket.

RULE #2: Support local.
Before you buy that high priced ticket to see that big name artist at that big corporate venue, consider putting that money back into your own community. This is the best way to ensure that a thriving arts & culture scene will return to cities across America.

RULE #3: Respect safety guidelines.
Many states, even counties and cities have different mask mandates while some have none at all. Respect the venues and their policies on masks and social distancing. If there are no guidelines please respect someone else's right to wear/not wear one. Don't mask shame, respect each persons feelings on safety.

RULE #4: No free drinks.
Don’t ask. Venues have been shutdown for 13 months waiting for this moment. Support them.

RULE #5: Tip your bartender.
20% is ok. 25% is better. More than 25% is best. Anything under 20% is a non-starter.

RULE #6: Support the scene.
Can’t make the show? No problem. It costs $0.00 to support us in other ways.
Share the posts. Listen to the music. Invite your friends to the event page. In order for this to work, we need all hands on deck.

RULE #7: Be kind.
Look — it’s been awhile. We’re gonna be a little rusty. Plus, so much of what needs to happen in order to bring back live music safely is new for all of us — fans, venues, promoters and artists alike.
There will be hiccups. There will be lines. There will be unforeseen circumstances. Be nice anyway.

We are on hiatus currently due to the COVID-19 outbreak numbers heading in the wrong direction right now, but bands, please send over links to your music/videos so we can be ready to roll once it is safe for everyone!! ALSO, PLEASE support your local bands and venues by purchasing merchandise, music, online/virtual show tickets, gift certificates (if available) and whatever you can to help keep your local music scene alive!!! Bands, keep writing and updating what you can!! We are almost through 2020 and the nonsense, so just hang tight!! We are all in this together!!!!

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have had to postpone an Indi-Grace show for the first time in 12 years. We are disappointed but know it's the right thing to do. We love our Michigan Metal Bands and Fans and The Machine Shop is our 2nd home. We definitely don't want to do anything to impose potential harm on anyone OR have anyone miss this year's DamageFest!!! So we will reschedule and keep you all updated!! In the meantime, support your favorite local bands and venues by buying merch, tickets, music and whatever you can online to help keep them afloat during this stressful time. If we support one another, we can make it through this crisis together!!! 🤘

We hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. To everyone who came out to Bobstock 2019 at The Machine Shop this past weekend, you helped us raise $891 for Families Against Narcotics - Genesee County Chapter!! This is something that would make Bobby Sevick get the feels!!! Our friends and fans are INCREDIBLE, but I'm sure you all know that 😁!

To the Bands who busted butt to promote this show: this lineup was unique, diverse and you all CRUSHED IT!!! PLEASE EVERYONE go check out Chase the Sun, Absorbed, Heart of Jordan, My Own Will, Crimson Winter and Second Salem because... DAMN they are amazing!!!
Buy their music, merch and grab them a drink/food because they earned it and we want them to keep going!! We definitely have to do more shows!!
