I’m reaching out as a photojournalist working on an editorial story exploring the real-life impact of recent cuts to federal arts funding on the dance community. As you may know, these cuts have already begun affecting artists, directors, and organizations across the country, impacting creative projects, performance opportunities, and the lives of those who make dance possible.

I want to speak with individuals and organizations who have been or expect to be impacted by these funding changes. Whether you’ve had to acquire alternate funding for productions, adjust programming, or face uncertainty about future projects, your story is important. This editorial aims to raise public awareness and shed light on how these changes are being felt at the community level. We're a mother and daughter team with over 40 collective years of training and work experience in classical, contemporary and commercial dance styles, as well as aerial circus arts, fire arts and musical theater. Our relationship is unique, our vibe is funky-cool, and we complete each others sentences.
