BIG NEWS ALERT!
I am excited to share with you all today the next big step I am taking in my professional career, in this big, beautiful, creative world of weddings and events.
I have accepted a brand-new role as Director of Special Events with FPC Live, a renowned Wisconsin-based live entertainment promoter and venue operator. FPC Live currently owns/operates four venues in Madison, WI (The Sylvee, Orpheum Madison, Majestic Madison, and High Noon Saloon), two venues in Charleston, SC (Charleston Music Hall and Music Farm), and two venues in Columbia, MO (The Blue Note and Rose Music Hall). They have also recently announced two new venues to be opened in Milwaukee in late 2023. My role will be to oversee the entire private rental division of all these owned and operated venues.
The second exciting part of this announcement is that the HUE brand will also be joining the Frank Productions family, the parent company of FPC Live. Thanks to all the hard work we’ve put in building unique visions with our clients over the years, they are excited to welcome our creative and strategic spirit in partnership with their special events program. We look forward to continuing to design and execute one-of-a-kind event experiences well into the future, now exclusively within our new home of FPC Live owned and operated venues.
The journey to here has been ongoing for the past year, as I began to explore what my next step might be after wedding planning. While I still loved working with all our couples and creatives in the industry, fatigue had set in. My life, which now includes two little girls, was in a different place than it was when I first started planning, and the grind of both the schedule and day-to-day business operations felt more prominent than it used to. Covid had taken its toll on our industry and gave my individual role as a wedding planner a different flavor than it used to have. And finally, after working with an amazing coach for a few months to re-find my north star, I came realize that I had accomplished everything I originally wanted out of this. It became a natural time to start looking for possibilities of what’s next.
The FPC Live venues in Madison have always held a special place in my heart. My first ever professional event was at the High Noon Saloon. I did a string of weddings at The Majestic in my second year where I gained both lifelong friendships and skills. I’ve hosted numerous photo shoots at The Orpheum, a venue I’ve always considered one of the most magical in our city. I also believe The Sylvee to be one of the best blank canvases an event creative can ask for. It feels natural for me to now be a part of these places and this team. I’ve come to know their people and leaders well through collaborative work and events over the past few years, and they are some of the most fun and innovative people you could ever ask to work for and with. I am also looking forward to the professional challenge of getting out of my comfort zone, taking on launching new venues and working in new markets for the first time.
So with all that, HUE will no longer be booking outside wedding planning services. Now as a part of the Frank family, we will take some time to explore our updated service offerings within these venues and share those as soon as we are ready. Current HUE couples with booked services will NOT see any changes or interruptions, and we will carry these weddings out as planned.
Thank you to every client, industry friend, team member, coach, service partner, cheerleader, family member, and all others who have made up my village and been there for the journey these past seven years. I could not have gotten to this point without you and would not have found the opportunity for this new path if not for where I’ve been. Cheers to the future!
