Hi friends 🤍
This is a little different from our usual wedding posts, but it’s something very close to our hearts.
If you’ve attended a wedding or event we’ve catered, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Sylvia — whether she was behind the bar or jumping in wherever she was needed. She’s one of the kindest, hardest-working people we know.
Last September, her husband became seriously ill, and their family is now in urgent need of a living donor.
We’re sharing their story here and asking, from the bottom of our hearts, that you take a moment to read, share, and help us spread the word. You never know who might be the person that can change their lives.
Thank you for your support 💛
From Sylvia :My Husband is Searching for two Living Donors
For those who may not know, my husband, David Fitzgerald II (Putt) has been battling kidney and liver disease for 8 months, and he is currently in need of both a kidney and a liver transplant.
In 2025, he received his diagnosis of acute kidney disease & liver failure, which has significantly impacted his daily life. Simple activities have become increasingly difficult for him, and our family is committed to finding two living donors who can help restore his health.
This journey has changed our lives in so many ways. My husband is someone who loves to golf, hunt, play with the grandbabies, & travel to beautiful places with clear water. The chance to regain his health and be able to do these things again would mean the world to him and to all of us.
If you are considering being a living donor kidney and or liver, please reach out to the UVA Transplant Center for more information:

- If you want to donate please say his name when you call. So you can be specifically tested for him.
A potential liver donor will need to have blood type A or O (+ or -), and be between the ages of 18 and 60 in order to be eligible to donate a portion of their liver
