Congratulations to one of the sweetest and most talented ladies I know! š¤
Marie, Renae, and I all grew up together ā going to school dances, playing volleyball, and spending nights at the girlsā house. I feel so lucky that life brought us together again in such an incredibly meaningful way.
Seven months ago, I gave birth to my daughter, and both Renae and Marie were my labor and delivery nurses. Honestly, without them, Iām not sure I would be here today.
About five hours postpartum, I started to hemorrhage and lost a significant amount of blood. The doctor attempted to perform a D&C in the room without pain management, but unfortunately, it was not successful. At that point, no one really knew what was going on.
Marie stayed by my side through all of it. She was my nurse at the time and helped get me to the OR to stop the bleeding and remove a blood clot the size of a dinner plate.
I remember being terrified and not knowing what was happening. Marie held my hand as I cried and was placed in the stirrups while they worked to stop the bleeding. She was the person who kept me as calm as possible during one of the scariest moments of my life.
Marie and Renae truly saved my life. They are two of the most genuine, compassionate, and incredibly smart people I have ever met, and I will forever be grateful for them. ā¤ļø
