⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Wayne G. Weber, Production Manager ⭐️
If you’ve ever wondered how MCPA’s biggest shows run so smoothly, meet Wayne G. Weber—the man behind the curtain. As Production Manager, Wayne oversees the technical and logistical details for productions in our building. From theater maintenance and hiring show crews to ensuring smooth operations and upholding backstage standards, he makes sure that what happens on stage shines because everything backstage runs like clockwork. Wayne’s love for theater started early, sparked by a touring production of 1776 in the 1970s. His first MCPA mainstage show was Fiddler on the Roof, and he still remembers the pride he felt when the curtain rose and everything came together.
Wayne’s career spans decades and includes some standout highlights including touring with the Rolling Stones, U2, and Pink Floyd and working as a camera grip for major sports networks. He even has three IMDB credits (He spent three days as a grip on a Hulu movie). When he’s not at MCPA, you’ll find him spending time with his family, playing pickleball or disc golf, exploring metro parks, or enjoying a good bowl of soup. He’s also a proud stepdad and a vintage base ball (yes, two words!) enthusiast who once played by 1867 rules at Greenfield Village. In short, Wayne brings experience, heart, and a deep love of the arts to everything he does.
