While floral design and my little Farmstand have primarily consumed my feed, my creative journey hasn’t been entirely focused on those things alone. I’ve also been challenging myself to explore different mediums. Felting has quickly become a favorite! I made this little barn owl for the Jordan River Arts Council Small Expressions Fiber Show. I’ve also been playing around with print making! I suppose the only reason I’m sharing this little felted owl (his name is Casper), is to hopefully inspire some of you to challenge yourself to do something creative. I’ve heard it said that art is the highest form of hope. So in times like these, if you are feeling helpless, keep your hands busy, make something…anything! And don’t be afraid to try something new. Who knows… you might end up liking it enough to put it in a show 🦉
Shout out to Nadine at Nadine Basile for hosting the felting workshop that got me hooked!
