This commission was so fun! I’ve been wanting to experiment and make crowns with multiple sets of horns, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. This customer wanted two sets of horns; originally wanted some larger ram style horns but I wasn’t able to accommodate that in the short period we have for them to receive this, that’s gonna take more experimentation. So they settled on reorienting some dragon horns & little satyr-tusk-style horns and it turned out so cute! I love it. What do you think, should I make more like this? Oh yeah and two of the mushrooms glow in the dark!

I was contacted by a husband, who wanted to get some fantasy goodies for his fantasy girlie wife who happened to be going through a rough loss. So of course I knew I needed to create a care package for her. We went back and forth on a few details and this was the care package we came up with. I remade one of my celestial horned crowns, one of the icy water antlers, a floral crown in pale blue and white like she likes, and then an elven circlet in silver featuring a light blue gem. To top it off, I decided to send the blue watery capelette we had left as well. I went through a similar impactful loss not too long ago, and immersing myself into fantasy & whimsy was one of the few things I use to cope so of course hearing a fellow fantasy girlie was suffering I had to help. Anyways, I hope she enjoys all her goodies. I included a hand written card too, featuring artwork my daughter painted of delicate blue flowers. 💕

A last minute commission finished just in time for our local this weekend (!)! We won’t be vending at the Blue Lake Medieval Festival of Courage this year (missed the application deadline) but we will be wandering around as patrons tomorrow! Maybe we’ll see some of you in our garb 😁 say hi if you see us!

I’ve been busy pattern-drafting and altering my current capelette pattern for a commissioned capelette for a character cosplay and this is where we’re at so far. This is not the final, this is a test that isn’t sewn together yet, I’m just waiting for adjustments or approval before moving on. My daughter saw this one and said “I want this prototype when everything is finished” 😂 (the final will be in white)

I have ONE full length cloak left over from this weekend and now it’s on Etsy. I’m not 100% the fabric because it is secondhand but it feels similar to a microsuede. It is VERY soft and quite warm, but still pretty thin and lightweight in terms of the fabric itself, though with how much fabric there is, it has weight to it. I am short (5’3ish) so it hits the floor when I wear it, but taller folk will have better luck with it just hitting their ankles lol. It’s also a GORGEOUS deep blue color. Since this was secondhand fabric, this is the only one of its kind though I am looking for similar fabrics from my suppliers to make similar ones. There just will never be an exact replica of this one.

We had a GREAT first day at the North Country Fair Arcata CA today and as usual I am THE WORST at getting customer photos (but i got a couple + me!) 😩😭😂, thanks to everyone who came out to support us though!!! We are running low on some crown inventory (a good problem to have, but still stressful! 🤣) but are looking forward to tomorrow! If you were thinking about a product, come back tomorrow and see if we still have it! Or come stop by if you haven’t seen us yet 😁 we won’t be at the medieval_festival_of_courage in Blue Lake next month, as we unfortunately missed the application deadline, so come grab your Ren Faire garb from us this weekend while you still have the chance!!!

Surprise Etsy drop!
In preparation for this weekend’s event (North Country Fair located in Arcata, CA Saturday 9/19 & Sunday 9/20!) we made some more crowns! I decided to upload them to Etsy FIRST this time instead of AFTER. So if there is one that catches your eye NOW, get it while you can (or msg me to set it aside for you to pick up at the fair!) because most of these are expected to sell at this weekend’s event! Don’t expect it to still be available come Monday!.
