For more than 100 years, Mount Sequoyah has been a place where people gather, create, celebrate and connect.

Preserving the mountain isn't just about protecting historic buildings, it's about ensuring future generations can continue making memories here.

Whether it's a childhood camp, a wedding, a concert, or a quiet walk on the trails, we'd love to hear your favorite Mount Sequoyah memory. Share it in the comments.

There’s still a little summer left on the mountain.

Spend it discovering new art, making something with your hands, slowing down, or simply gathering with community.

Here’s what’s happening through the end of August.

Music echoed over the mountain this weekend. The Arkansas State Old Time Fiddlers gathered at Sequoyah Hall and played fiddle tunes that carried out across the grounds. It's always a good day when we get to host a group like this.

Today, everyone at Mount Sequoyah is proud to congratulate The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas on being named AFP Northwest Arkansas' 2026 Outstanding Foundation!

When we think about their name, the word that stands out is "For." They are for communities, for churches, for nonprofits, and for organizations working every day to make Arkansas a stronger, more compassionate place.

Over the years, The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas has supported Mount Sequoyah through grants, sponsorships, and by choosing the Mountain as a place to gather, learn, and build community. Their encouragement and investment have helped us continue preserving this historic place while creating opportunities for people to connect, create, and grow.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for all you do—not only for Mount Sequoyah, but for nonprofits and communities across our state. We are grateful to be one of the many organizations strengthened by your generosity and vision.

Congratulations from all of us on the Mountain!
