Nina + Adam // part 1

Nina and Adam tricked their closest friends and family into thinking they were going to Adam’s surprise birthday party in a private tent at . Little did they know they were at a wedding reception (!) following a very small, sweet and private ceremony at home. I love these two humans very much and I was honored to be asked to document this perfect day.

This was such a special wedding for me. I've been shooting the band Arkansauce., which is how I came to know Lee and Adams. I've known them for a few years now and have truly come to love each and every person in their group of friends and followers of the band. I don't shoot many weddings these days (only for friends and referrals from past clients), but when Adams and Lee asked me to shoot their special day I didn't even hesitate. This wedding was so full of love. The venue got changed last minute (like, the day before) because of weather and you would have never guessed with how relaxed and happy everyone was. It was a beautiful day and I was more than happy to be a part of their sweet ceremony.

This warm weather calls for some Arkansauce. Check out their instrumental tune we filmed last fall!

We had the pleasure of taking engagement portraits for this beautiful couple. They are so in love we barely had to pose them, it just came naturally. Congratulations, you two! You were so obviously made for each other.

Homestead Recording has started a new show series in Fayetteville: Homestead House Shows! A few weeks back, Anna and I got to film as Dana Louise & Merey opened for Danny Malone during his and Kenni's living room tour. Our buddy Eric has his studio stuff set up to record the live sets to tape, which he mixes down and sends out to attendees and fans. This was one of our favorite house show experiences to date, and we love what Homestead is doing in their awesome little farmhouse! Keep an eye peeled for full performances on our YouTube soon!

Anna and I were lucky enough to spend our Valentine's Day on Mt. Sequoyah watching some spectacular musicians in an awesome venue. The folks at Homegrown on the River worked hard to convert an old church pavilion into Auditorium 51 - a huge dance hall in which Arkansauce. and Willie Watson serenaded everyone on the lovin'est day of the year.

This show was the first of an entire series they're putting on in downtown Fayetteville, and it went perfectly. Follow the Auditorium 51 page to catch their upcoming announcement about the next show on June 3rd!
