🚛👏 Truck Driver Appreciation Week is our opportunity to thank our incredible technicians who make a difference every day through their dedication to safety and service. We're wrapping up our daily technician spotlights by recognizing Francisco Leyva, a Utility Technician based out of Romoland, CA.

With 27 years in the industry, including 12 with USS, Francisco is known for his dedication, flexibility and commitment to delivering excellent service. Whether he's supporting major events, assisting another branch or traveling to wherever help is needed, Francisco always steps up with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is knowing customers are happy and satisfied with the service he provides. Francisco believes success as a driver comes down to safe driving, good judgement and strong decision-making. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. And if he could take a road trip anywhere for fun, he'd head to New York.

Each day this week we'll feature a technician from one of our regions. Today we're spotlighting Alee "Ace" Freeman, one of our Utility Technicians from Austin, TX.

With more than 55 years of professional driving experience, 22 of them with USS, Ace has built a career centered around safety, service and teamwork. He enjoys coming to work each day and building strong relationships with his coworkers. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing satisfied customers and knowing he has provided quality service. He believes that successful drivers prioritize safety, awareness, and Smith System driving principles, and he brings that mindset to work every day. If given the chance to hit the road for fun, Ace would head to Florida to enjoy the scenery and spend some time fishing.

For 35 years, two with USS, Jerry Reed, Utility Technician from our Nashville, TN branch, has been dedicated to the road, combining expert driving skills with a commitment to customer service and safety. He enjoys the teamwork that comes with the job and the opportunity to learn new routes along the way. With USS, making sure units are safe and clean to support good hygiene for those who rely on our services, is one of the most rewarding parts of his job. Jerry believes that a successful driver balances strong driving abilities with excellent customer service. If he could go anywhere, he'd take a road trip to New Orleans to enjoy the music, jazz scene and incredible food.

With nearly 10 years of industry experience, 4 at USS, Dustin has built a reputation for delivering quality service and putting customers first. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is earning customers' trust and appreciation through consistent high-quality service. He believes that being safe makes a great driver. Beyond driving, he enjoys repairing units, helping fellow technicians and continuously learning. Outside of work, you'll most likely find him enjoying the outdoors.
