About a month and six years ago today, I texted our friend and wedding photographer and asked him what he thought about doing a surprise first look and personal vow reading up in Red Rocks a couple days before our wedding. After assuring me that it was a very good idea, I tricked Connor into thinking that we were just going to take some photos. After we got to *the spot* for photos I ran down the trail in 11 degrees and snow, changed into my wedding, and ran back up the trail to surprise Connor. It was magical and perfect. (And did I mention 11 degrees?!) It will forever be my favorite moment of that season.
What have we learned six years later? Enjoy the easy moments because it won’t always be easy. Reflect after the good and harder times. Do the work. It is so worth it to dig deep into yourself to help your marriage flourish. Love deeply and forgive quickly. And to my love: I will never get tired of getting to call you my husband. It feels like a gift to share life with you.

It doesn’t get any better than Weslie + Brad. The love, the authenticity, the kindness to each other and their guests… the day was truly about what really matters and nothing about what doesn’t. Weslie said that she didn’t want a bunch of staged moments. At one point in the day as I was giving some direction for her first look with her dad, she reminded me of her wishes to not have a bunch of planned moments for photos. Then at the end of the night she came to me and said, “we don’t want to do a last dance like we requested. We’re with our people having fun and I don’t want it to stop.” No problem sister, you’re in charge. We are committed to bringing your deep, meaningful purpose of your event through every step of the way. Even if that means a last minute change of course🤍

As the year winds down, we can’t help but reflect on the wonderful humans we’ve gotten to connect with since we started our journey. We are so thankful for all of the incredible vendors we have developed the best relationships with. The Arkansas wedding industry is flourishing with so much talent… not to mention so many of them are women-owned businesses 💪🏻
