You can probably tell that I had been crying.
It felt like a s**t show. 🫣😅
I wanted to look credible, trustworthy, compassionate… you know, the qualities you want to capture when you’re creating promotional material to get people to follow you into the jungle in Mexico. 🤣 But instead, I filmed in between wiping away my tears, so at least it’s authentic. 😜
I remember looking at the crew and saying, “I don’t even know why I’m crying! I’m not nervous. I actually like having a mic and a spotlight!”
The cameraman smiled and said, “It’s a pretty vulnerable moment.”
I’ve thought about that moment ever since.
The tears weren’t coming from fear.
They came from feeling completely overwhelmed with purpose.
Speaking these words out loud, knowing they would be shared with the world… it felt like stepping fully into my purpose.
Because I believe with everything in me that you are worthy of the life you dream about. Not because you’ve earned it. Not because you’ve accomplished enough. Not because you’ve finally become “good enough.”
You are worthy simply because you are human.
Somewhere along the way, so many of us learned to tie our worth to our productivity, our achievements, or how much we can carry. Many of us are moving through life with our nervous systems stuck in fight-or-flight, and we’ve adopted productivity as a coping mechanism. We were taught that if we just worked a little harder, accomplished a little more, or finally did enough, then we’d deserve the life we long for.
I don’t believe that’s true.
I actually think it’s a trap.
The Sophia Retreat was created to help you step away from all of that noise.
To slow down.
To get clear on what you actually want rather than what you’ve been told you should want.
Because I don’t believe the answers are out there somewhere in books, courses, and certifications… I believe the answers that YOU need—the ones you crave—are already inside of YOU.
The trap is believing that the experiences that shaped you define you.
The trap is believing that you have to accept ideas that were handed down to you simply because they’re “family things” or societal standards.
The glitch in the matrix is realizing that you don’t have to reject those experiences or resent them.
You can be grateful for all of it while bringing awareness and intention to your story, allowing the things that no longer serve you to become the very things that guide you toward the person you want to be.
That’s why I’ve poured my heart, soul, and yes… my money into creating this retreat.
Because even if only three people join me (that’s how many Early Birds have already said yes 😜 Thanks to those BTW, you know who you are), it will all be worth it.
If any part of this spoke to you, comment “MORE” and I’ll send you a DM so we can start the conversation.
No pressure. No sales pitch.
Just a compassionate conversation and a space to explore what your heart has been trying t
