Taking care of myself has NEVER been a top priority of mine. š¤·š»āāļø
Donāt come at meā¦

I said itā¦ because itās true.
Iām NOT proud of itā¦ but itās TRUE.
Now, before you tell me how important it is to put myself firstā¦.
Iāll sayā¦ I do KNOW this is important but I still never do it. Or I do it rarely.
Knowing and doing are two entirely different things.
I donāt know if you are like me but if something goes wrong or if I get hurt, sick, something isnāt rightā¦ I wait till the last possible moment to seek a doctor (in most cases, not all cases).
I just always tell myself: it will pass, it will get better, Iām fine, toughen upā¦
Or my favoriteā¦ I donāt have TIME. šš„ŗ
It actually all comes down to TIME!
So I just made this upā¦

Time to go to the doctor, physical & mental health therapy, exercise, cooking!
Whatās funny isā¦ I do take the time for manicures, pedicures and hair appointmentsā¦
But letās be real REALā¦. Thatās not ātaking care of myselfāā¦ thatās making me happy but not the things I NEED to take care of.
Ha, nowā¦ Iām not saying I intend to stop those fun thingsā¦ but the TIME spent on those things (for now) has already been shifted.
Some things have unfolded in the last 12 months and Iām at the end of āthisā particular road.
The āMelissa comes lastā road is now under construction š§ ā ļø āļø ā¤ļø
Iāll be 44 in a few weeks and Iām having a HARD time with it. (LOL I had the same feelings just before I turned 24šš¤£š¤·š»āāļø)
So itās TIME to make some adjustmentsā¦ so that I donāt feel the same way when 45 rolls around.
Hahahaha most people do this after the new year.
For me, the ānew yearā starts October 4th. šš»š
Why am I saying this to the world wide interwebsā¦.
