Two weeks to the day since we watched the next chapter of and David’s love story unfold.

Call me crazy, but on the drive home after a wedding, I always try to think of a “word of the day” to describe the wedding overall. For Michele and David, one word came to mind over and over again - JOY.

From the moment I met both Michele and David separately, I could tell their souls were filled with joy. Undeniable, put a smile on your face joy.

Michele spent the morning getting ready with her daughters. Joy. In every loving interaction. In every glance their way as they playfully joked with each other.

David spent his time helping his sisters with last minute preparations and then getting ready with his brothers. Joy. With each greeting as everyone arrived. As the day came together.

But the ultimate joy came as David saw Michele walk down the aisle and in the hours that followed as they celebrated with family and friends.

I read a post today that implied detail shots are on their way out of style.

I’m pretty sure my heart skipped a beat.

Ya’ll detail shots will always have a unique way of telling part of the story of a wedding day. It’s worth having 30 minutes on the timeline to capture the details you spent so many months planning. Even if those images are simple. They are worth the time!
