Let’s talk about something.
I talk a lot about my favorite things on wedding days. I’m not afraid to admit that I live for smaller wedding parties, first looks, and small guest lists. And I feel passionately that those things take away many of the stressors during a wedding day.
But here’s the thing. Smaller days with first looks aren’t for everyone. And that’s okay! As long as you are having a wedding that is authentic to YOU, then you are succeeding. It doesn’t matter what your family, friends, and vendors think.
And ya’ll, Carmen Wilson and Cody broke almost every “rule” in my book for a stress-free day and it ended up being one of my absolute favorite weddings of the year. Seriously, there’s not a thing I would change.
So here’s my advice to couples. Be open to suggestions. Don’t be afraid to ask for the opinions of others. But be true to yourself.
Carmen + Cody, I can’t imagine the story of our summer of 2026 without you in it. Thank you for being incredible humans that make this world a better place. Forever two of your biggest fans! Not sure you need two more fans since you had the biggest wedding party of 2026 for us 😂, but we are forever in your corner!!!
