Today marks a month since Alyssa and Simon said “I do” And ya’ll, the weather was crummy. It felt much more like a gloomy March day than the beginning of May. But ya’ll, the warmth and excitement these two shared. The love we felt. The emotion we witnessed. Well, those are the things that mattered. And that’s what we’ll remember about their big day many years from now.

So yeah, go ahead and get yourself clients like Alyssa and Simon.

May. Is. My. Favorite. There I said it. It’s early enough in wedding season I don’t feel overwhelmed with my to-do list. The weather makes me happy. The colors bring my joy. The nights are long. Everything just feels right.

Here’s the thing though. I would have enjoyed and ’s wedding day even if it had been on the gloomiest January day. They are just the type of people that bring joy and sunshine into everything they do.

There are some weddings that we just KNOW are going to be good. Like really, really good. and ’s was one of them. From our first consult call where we talked more about traveling than weddings, to laughing through their engagement session, we have known they are so incredibly special and their day would become a core memory for us.

It also helps that we knew and the are always flawless and we would have no stressors throughout the day! Ladies and gentlemen, be like Marissa and Ryan: choose the venues and coordinators that make your day so easy from start to finish!

Sometimes it seems so surreal that we have been in the wedding industry for 15+ years. A lot of things have changed in that time. One of our favorites is that there’s so much more diversity in venues these days. One of our favorite trends: open air chapels.

and Braxton radiate the love of Jesus. The chapel at couldn’t have been a more perfect reflection of who they are and the foundation they’re building together.
