This morning I spent time in the flower field after a good but hard weekend in my FL hometown.

Apparently the weather here matched the FL weather all weekend!

The heat made many of my narcissus flowers bloom so I got out there and harvested. A few handfuls of tulips were starting to color so they got pulled up too.

The floral cooler is now officially back on for the spring season! If you ordered a spring subscription- check your emails. They start next week!

I’ve been pretty silent on here & have needed the time away.

On top of some fraud issues we’ve been dealing with, I’ve had family health concerns going on. I’m not ready to share but please know my business will be adjusting this year. While many farmers spend the winter planning how to increase their services and crops, I’ve been spending it figuring out how to be flexible moving forward which has been a strange feeling.

Our flower field got a good clean up last weekend with the warmer weather. We are seeing our overwintered crops popping up for our Spring Subscriptions and only one or two crops that were crushed with the weight of the snow on top of the frost cloth.

(I should have gone out to do snow removal but a lot has happened this winter for me & honestly was low priority.)

For now, our Spring Flower Subscriptions are up on the online shop for purchasing. Our subscriptions begin next month for pick up or delivery 🚚 if you’d like to get your hands on flowers from our small flower farm- now is your chance!

We’ve had a couple new subscribers jump on this week- thank you 🙏 I will leave the listings up until we are sold out.

It’s okay because that’s how we learn- but now is the time to for these simple fixes!

The truth is if you are making these mistakes, you’re hurting the health of your garden. This directly impacts the production of your plants.

It can even cause your plants to be sick & send out signals for bad bugs to come over for dinner 🍽️

This year I’m challenging myself to try new floral designs each week.

Photographing arrangements is half the fun.

I have been a photographer for years (at one point owning a wedding photography business with my husband).

The best way to photograph floral arrangements is to use natural light. Place your arrangement with the window light coming in from either left or right.

Don’t place the arrangement right in front of the window.

Make sure you don’t have any other lights on in the room.

A clean background can be made with a curtain (like shown with my kiddo holding the fabric)

Or on a wall with no major distractions.

You don’t have to order special pipe and drape if you can McGyver it like I have.

This one I gifted to a friend who recently had a baby boy 💙
