Last Saturday was all things bougie, beauty and giving back at the Beauty Affair Bougie Brunch, benefiting the Carroll M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

From fabulous food and boozy cocktails to beauty brands, activations, friends, colleagues and a few familiar faces in the room… this brunch definitely understood the assignment. 💄✨

A little glam, a lot of fun, and most importantly — an incredible group of people coming together to support breast cancer research.

The Jake Man is going to absolutely KILL me for posting this… (Love you Jake)❤️😂🏒

Last night was Jake’s very first VARSITY hockey game as a SOPHOMORE at St. Anthony’s — playing alongside a roster full of seniors. Holy 💩was it ELECTRIC The Rinx

Fourth line. Sophomore. First varsity game. Let’s effin go!

And somehow my kid goes out and scores the FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON in the first period… then decides one wasn’t enough and puts in another. 👏🏼🏑🥅

And because apparently sleep is optional when you’re a hockey player, he and his fellow sophomore/travel teammate Andrew Cevallos — who also scored last night 🙌🏼 — didn’t get home and into bed until almost 1AM… only to wake up around 3AM to catch a flight to Chicago for a 10AM game with their PAL Junior Islanders travel team. 😩😴💤🫩🥱

Make it make sense. 🤦‍♀️

These kids work HARD. School. Practices. Games. Travel. Late nights. Early mornings. And then they wake up and do it all over again.

Jake has never been the kid who wants the attention. He’s humble, quiet about his accomplishments (just earned an award for his GPA) and would probably prefer I never mention any of this.

Again, sorry not sorry Jake Evans Too bad. I’m his mother. 🤷‍♀️

I couldn’t be prouder of the player he is, but even more proud of the person he’s becoming.

Keep working. Keep grinding. Keep being exactly who you are, Jake Man.
(Just a little less attitude at home plz). lol

Back to school for my Jake Man!

How exactly are we already in 10th grade?! I swear I blinked and my little boy turned into this handsome high schooler with bigger goals, bigger dreams… and probably zero desire for his mother to take a first-day-of-school picture. 😂

Keep working hard, stay humble, make good choices, have FUN and never forget who you are. I’m so proud of the young man you’re becoming!🥹
