🧶 CAN YOU SAY QUIRKY?! 🧶

Our new Silly Hat Collection has arrived at The Mischievous Monkeys, and these hats are every bit as fun as they look! 😂 From Vikings and monsters to wild creatures, crazy pigtails and hats we’re not even sure how to describe—there’s a personality waiting for just about everyone.

But these aren’t just silly hats. Each one is hand crocheted from Peruvian Highland Wool, a cross between Corriedale, known for its sturdiness, and Merino, loved for its softness. The result is a strong, wonderfully soft wool that makes these hats as well-made as they are wonderfully weird.

And apparently, quirky has no age limit! Children AND adults have already fallen in love with them. ❤️

These are the kind of hats that tend to stick around, too. They’re incredibly durable and are often passed down from one person to the next because they simply don’t wear out. Today’s silly hat may just become tomorrow’s family heirloom. 😂

The Mischievous Monkeys in Farmer City, Illinois, is one of those places.

Step through our doors and you might feel like you’ve gone back to a time when things moved a little slower, conversations happened, and stores were filled with all kinds of interesting things to discover. There’s no rushing through here—you’ll want to wander, look up, look down, and probably circle back around because you missed something the first time!

Browse an ever-changing mix of gifts, home décor, clothing, jewelry, purses, nostalgic candy, old-time bottled sodas, Kit-Cat Klocks, local honey, locally created artwork, Farmer City merchandise, our own Mischievous Monkeys T-shirts, Illinois shirts, and plenty of things that are simply hard to describe. We also happily special order from our vast selection of merchandise.

And yes—we’re a florist, too! Fresh flower bouquets can be ordered online 24/7, with delivery available to Farmer City, Monticello, Lodge, DeLand, Mansfield, Mahomet, Bellflower and Saybrook. Ordering in person is always welcomed too.

We’ve got Unicorn Dumplings that actually change color in the sun 🌞🦄, adorable Sugar Dumplings that come 3 to a steamer, and those sparkly little Mini Glitter Dumplings that are almost too cute to squish. Apparently, they came to Earth to chill, have a little fun, and bring some “Peace & Quiet” to our lives. And judging by this crew… they’re fitting in just fine. 😂

We’ve been crazy busy lately—tearing things down, moving things around, adding more shelving and somehow trying to find room for all the NEW merchandise arriving! So much has come through the doors that we haven’t even had time to photograph most of it.

Robert used to sit on a retail panel in Canada working with product-line development, so when the opportunity came along to throw a few ideas their way... well, that was a no-brainer!
