We are pleased to share we were also the recent recipients of a $20,000 donation from The Black Hills Foundation toward the Farley Library and Community Center project. Thank you, Black Hills Energy for your lasting impact on the Farley community with this donation!

📢Big news for Farley! 🎉

The City of Farley has officially been awarded a $197,000 CAT Grant through the Iowa Economic Development Authority to support the renovation of the new Farley Library & Community Center.

The CAT program supports the development of multi-purpose attraction and tourism facilities across Iowa, with a focus on vertical infrastructure, including building construction and permanent improvements that create lasting community and economic impact.

The CAT grant complements local support already secured for the project, a testament to the value this project will bring to the Farley community.

Located on two acres of land and adjacent to the city’s Westside Park, this project will include the major renovation of the existing building into a new library and community center with paved parking. The completed project will result in a library space that is triple the size of the current library and will adjoin a multipurpose community center space with capacity for approximately 100 people.
