The Northfield Public Library is hosting an exhibit called, Quinceañera: Past and Present from August 21 through August 28, 2023 at the Northfield Public Library, 210 Washington Street.

This exhibit highlights the latine tradition of celebrating a girl’s 15th birthday, known as a quinceañera, an important coming-of-age event. The exhibit will demonstrate the joy of the quinceañera celebratory traditions in the U.S. and explore popular cultural representations. The exhibit will have quinceañera dresses, shoes, tiaras and more on display. The quinceañera dresses will be provided by Ana Quintero owner of Sueños de Quinceañera in Faribault.

La Biblioteca Pública de Northfield está llevando a cabo una exposición llamada, Quinceañera: Pasado y Presente del 21 de agosto al 28 de agosto de 2023 en la Biblioteca Pública de Northfield, 210 Washington Street.

Esta exposición pone de relieve la tradición latina de celebrar los 15 años de una niña, conocida como quinceañera, un importante acontecimiento de la mayoría de edad. La exposición mostrará la alegría de las tradiciones de celebración de los quince años en Estados Unidos y explorará las representaciones culturales populares. Se expondrán vestidos de quinceañera, zapatos, tiaras y mucho más. Los vestidos de quinceañera serán proporcionados por Ana Quintero, propietaria de Sueños de Quinceañera en Faribault.
