Time spent on Meta is not only wasted time, it’s time spent making a morally bankrupt billionaire more rich.

Please join the movement to resist facism on BlueSky. A good start is to find Media Matters and follow their starter pack. Reddit’s r/50501 is another good place to start.

I will also be replacing WhatsApp with Signal.

If I should ever be so lucky to make flowers again, I will find a way to spread the word locally, and will contact past customers via email. Sending all my love. ❤️

Rose Toscano, if I could grow only one dahlia. I hope to multiply my stock next year with cuttings as I only have a few, and tubers are costly.

RT was the cherry on top of an otherwise rough morning: lots of insect damage in the field, in the form of deformed dahlias and zinnias, thanks to the “tarnished plant bug.” I don’t want to spray toxic chemicals so I am beginning to rethink my location for next year. This is the third season in a row of a thriving TPB population - I think they like the open meadow and full sun. 💔

In other news, I don’t have many dahlias this week, but I have enough zinnias and lemon basil to bring color and scent into the weekend!

Had the garlic scape pasta special tonight (not pictures) - TDF! Found out later Audrey was up till 12:30am last night cutting the pasta! Seriously. This place has so much heart. The flowers are a nice touch too.
