This time spent away from flower farming has only made me realize how strong my love for it is. I grew up hoping to find my passion and there's no denying that I've found it. There's just something about it I can't shake. Praying that I'll be able to get back to it one day.

I am extremely excited to take the workshop this coming January! It has been something I've wanted to do since I started flower farming and I finally allowed myself to do it.

It's crazy how much I already miss farming. When I grew my first bed of cut flowers, I fell in love with it so fast. I can't imagine being away from flowers too long. During the time that I'm not growing, I will be investing in my education. Not just in farming, but in designing as well. I've always loved learning and one of the reasons I chose horticulture and plants as a career path is because the learning never ends.

Thank you Floret for taking the time to teach others and inspire them to grow!!

I've been holding off on making this announcement because it hurts that I have to make this decision. I love flower farming. It is my passion and I've fallen in love with growing my own flowers from seed, nurturing them in the field to bloom, and making arrangements that are beautiful in the most natural and organic ways.

Because of personal reasons, I am making the decision to step back from my business. My flower farm will be put on hold until I am able to purchase my own land to build my flower farm. It breaks my heart to do this, but I know that it is the smartest decision I can make right now to ensure long time success in the future.

In the meantime, I will refocus my time into my job. I will dedicate myself to learning more about the floral industry. I will take time to research and build a solid business plan. I will continue to push myself to take the steps necessary to get back to flower farming one day.

My flower farming journey isn't over. It has just begun. But for now, I will wait.

I am switching gears as September goes by. I've been busy starting seeds that will go into the ground mid to end of October. I'll be burning holes in landscape fabric for the next three days as I prepare for planting. I'll be getting compost and tilling the new beds within the next few weeks. As I simultaneously clean up the old summer plants that have come to a close, collecting some seed as I go.

I will not be at any more farmer markets this year. It was a good run and I have reflected on what I need to change in order to make for a longer growing season next year.

The possibilities this farm gives me is endless and there's so much I want to accomplish. There's so many plants I want to grow (the gladiolas next year will be heaven but there's so many colors I want them all! Ugh I need them 🙄🙃). And the reality that I get to do this every year and add to my plants, experience, sales outlets, and overall farm is the happiest and most hopeful feeling I've ever had.

I'll be posting updates soon so continue to watch for my posts! My CSA flower bouquet subscriptions will be for sale within the next few months and will be available to a larger area of people than before!! But I have a limited number of spots so be on the lookout for when I announce the date they are available to purchase!

It's Helotes Market this Saturday! Last weekend was relaxing and the first time I've truly allowed myself to not overthink anything. But I'm back to a flower state of mind 24/7 and I love it. 💐💕

I will not be at a market this weekend.

My flower production is slowing down and I'm heavily taking notes on the things I need to improve on for a more seamless growing season next year. I'll be spending some time starting seeds for fall planting which I'm extremely excited about! There's so many plants that bring me joy but right now the thought of thousands of snapdragons really gets me through the days. ❤️💜

This weekend I might just clear my head. Relax my brain. Take a mental refresh. I'm an overthinker and I'm always planning for the future. But I'm realizing that sometimes I need a break, I need to be in the moment, and I need to enjoy a day without worry. I stress about everything and this weekends goal is to simply not worry and take care of myself. 💕

How is it already August? The time is flying by and I'll be heading to my 11th straight week of summer markets. This week I will be at the Bandera Pointe Market in San Antonio which is off of 1604 and Bandera Rd. Hours are 10 - 4 pm. This is where I'll be at for the rest of August (the 14th, 21st, and 28th).

Are there any specific markets you want to see me at? That you recommend? I would like to be able to reach a wider area to be able to offer my flowers to a larger number of people!
