Fava Pot Earns Official Certification as a Woman-Owned Small Business
A milestone for authentic Egyptian cuisine and women-led entrepreneurship in the DMV
Falls Church, VA — Fava Pot, a beloved DMV restaurant group known for its scratch-made Egyptian cuisine, proudly announces its official certification as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB).
Founded by Dina Daniel, an Egyptian-American immigrant who came to the U.S. in 2004, Fava Pot started as a humble food truck in 2013. Over the past twelve years, Dina has grown the brand into two thriving restaurants, a dedicated catering division, and a food truck — all while staying true to her family recipes and passion for sharing Egyptian hospitality.
“This certification is more than just a badge for us,” said Dina Daniel, Founder & Chef of Fava Pot. “It represents years of hard work, resilience, and the incredible women who make up 90% of our team. It also opens doors to new opportunities, allowing us to bring the rich flavors of Egypt to even more communities, corporations, and government partners across the DMV.”
The WOSB certification allows Fava Pot to access supplier diversity programs, government contracts, and large-scale catering opportunities — expanding its reach while continuing to support the local community.
Fava Pot’s mission is simple: to bring authentic, home-style Egyptian food to the DMV while fostering a workplace where women thrive and customers feel like family.
