💙 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU — MICHAEL & SHANNON DAVIS 💙

Some people don’t wait to be asked to help — they simply step forward and ask, “What can we do?”
Long before the gates opened for the 2026 Beauty and the Beast Rough Stock Rodeo, Officer Michael Davis and his beautiful wife, Shannon, offered their time and their help to Cody and me.
When rodeo day arrived, they didn’t just show up — they jumped in wherever they were needed and helped us keep things moving.
Michael spent his time visiting with spectators, helping at the gates, applying wristbands and being another dependable set of hands in the middle of a very busy day.
Shannon took on our VIP ticket line, helped get our guests checked in and wristbanded, and when something unexpected was thrown her way or something needed to be picked up, handled, scheduled or figured out — she made it happen. No fuss. No hesitation. She simply helped us get it done and kept things running smoothly.
That kind of help means more than people realize.
And we think our community should know a little more about the man who volunteered his time to help our rodeo.
Sergeant Michael Davis has dedicated 18 years to law enforcement, including 14 years serving Churchill County. His career has included detention, patrol, narcotics enforcement, gang investigations, training and supervision. He was recognized as Deputy of the Year in 2019, became an active-shooter response instructor in 2020 and was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2022.
Today, he continues serving our community and is a candidate for County Sheriff.
But on August 15, to us, he was simply Mike — standing at our gate, talking with our spectators, putting on wristbands and asking what else needed to be done.
And right beside him was Shannon doing exactly the same.
Cody, Kristina and Stetson want to give Michael and Shannon Davis a HUGE and heartfelt THANK YOU. ❤️
Thank you for taking time away from your own busy lives and family to volunteer for something that means so incredibly much to ours. Thank you for offering before we ever had to ask. Thank you for seeing what needed to be done and doing it. And most of all, thank you for being the kind of people who show up for your community and your friends.
Our rodeos are not possible because of one or two people. They happen because of people like Michael and Shannon Davis who willingly step in, roll up their sleeves and become part of the team.
We appreciate you both more than you know.

In this week after the 2nd Rodeo we are feeling it, talking about it and already planning the Annual Bull Bash event!! But we cannot help but feel so very humble and full of gratitude!!

What an AMAZING turnout for the inaugural 2026 de Golyer’s Beauty & the Beast Roughstock Rodeo & Concert! It takes a village to pull off a night like this, and ours showed up BIG.
A huge thank you to The Venue and Wild Horse Cafe for always jumping in and helping make our events something special.
🍋 A very special thank you to Cheyann’e’s Lemonade Stand for serving her fresh-squeezed complimentary lemonade to our VIP guests! And to every VIP spectator who dropped a little something into her jar — THANK YOU! Every dollar helped get Cheyann’e one step closer to a pretty special goal: buying her very first horse. 🐴❤️
To our bullfighters Garrett Cox & Adam Kramer — thank you for putting yourselves in harm’s way to protect our cowboys and keeping everyone safe in that arena.
🤡 And to our rodeo clown, Sheriff Downdard — thank you for always keeping our crowd pumped up and entertained! From tossing out T-shirts and swag to awarding our Fan of the Night buckle, you keep the energy going and make sure our spectators are part of the show, too!
To JJJ Bucking Bulls/Bucking Stock and James Clark — thank you for all you do and for bringing the livestock that makes our roughstock rodeo possible. The stock doesn't finish unting they hit that stripping chute- Thank you Case & Caleb for joining in on the fun!! Zander and Austin thank you for understanding the assignment!!

🛡️ A HUGE thank you to Joe and his professional security team with Triumph Protection. Without you, our events simply wouldn't be as safe and well-managed as they are. Thank you for maintaining crowd flow, monitoring our entrances and exits, keeping an eye on the entire facility, handling situations before they become problems, and helping ensure our spectators, contestants, artists, crew and families can simply relax and enjoy the night. Your presence, professionalism and dedication do not go unnoticed.

And just like that, the 2026 de Golyer's Beauty & The Beast Rough Stock Rodeo & Live in Concert Wade Hayes is in the books! 💚
What a night. What a crowd. What a way to finish out our rodeo summer!
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, bought a ticket, cheered from the stands, competed in the arena, volunteered their time, sponsored our event, worked behind the scenes, brought their families, and supported what we continue to build right here in our hometown.
To our cowboys and cowgirls, stock contractors, bullfighters, pickup men, arena crew, vendors, food trucks, musicians, production crew, volunteers and sponsors — none of this happens without you.
And to our spectators… THANK YOU for filling those stands and bringing the energy! Seeing families, friends and our community come together is exactly why we keep doing this year after year.
These rodeos take months of planning, a whole lot of long days and late nights, and an incredible group of people willing to jump in wherever they're needed. When that first gate cracks open and we look around at everyone enjoying the night, it makes it all worth it. ❤️

⭐ Contestants enter through the campground entrance off Sheckler Road
⭐ Park in the campground area — no parking behind the back gate
