The Sutton House is a historic home located near Faison, North Carolina in an area of the country known as Suttontown. It was built in the early 1900's by Preacher Jim Sutton. The house and surrounding farm were purchased by Festus Sutton in 1922. The house has remained in the Festus Sutton family since its purchase. For many years it was cared for by Sallie Harrell Sutton or "Granny Sallie" as sh

e was so lovingly known by everyone and her son, Festus "Charlie" Sutton. At her death the house became the property of Shirley Oates, the daughter of Festus Sutton. In 2014 the house was purchased by Lynn King, the granddaughter of Festus Sutton. Extensive renovations to the home have taken place both inside and out. An ingound pool was added last summer. The Sutton House hosted its first event last September with the wedding of Zachary King and Casey Jones. It's the perfect place to host events such as wedding ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, and bridal luncheons.
