The face behind the flowers 🌺 A few things you might not know about me:

🌼 I’m Diana, the founder of Little Blue Thistle and mom to two little boys.
🇨🇦 I grew up in Canada, and lived in South Korea & NYC before making Fairport my home.
🏔️ I’ve trekked to Everest Base Camp, Machu Picchu and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
🎉 My background is in nonprofit development and event planning.
🌸 I have my boys’ birth flowers tattooed on me - a cosmos and a narcissus!
🎃 Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love a good true crime podcast or documentary.

One bouquet to keep. One bouquet to share.💙

Today, Little Blue Thistle teamed up with The Wait With You Foundation for Petal It Forward, a flower-giving initiative that encourages people to share kindness through two bouquets—one to keep and one to pass along.

Together, we brought flowers (86 bouquets to be exact) to nurses, staff, and families in Golisano Children’s NICU and PICU and Strong Memorial Hospital’s antepartum unit, with bouquets featuring beautiful flowers from Toad Hill Blooms and Kittelberger Florist & Gifts

This was especially meaningful to me because both of my boys received lifesaving care at Golisano’s. It was after Owen’s PICU stay that I found my way into the floral world, so returning here to share flowers felt like a full circle moment.

Most of the bouquets went to nurses and staff—a small thank-you for the care they give to patients and families every day. The timing also happened to coincide with Perinatal Nurses Week. Having been on the receiving end of that care, I’m grateful for the opportunity to give a little something back.

On October 14, Little Blue Thistle is partnering with The Wait With You Foundation for Society of American Florists Petal It Forward initiative at Strong Memorial Hospital and Golisano Children’s Hospital.

We’ll be sharing flowers with staff and families on the antepartum, NICU, and PICU units—a small gesture of kindness for those giving and receiving care.

I’m grateful to be part of this and can’t wait to share some flower magic!✨

Happy 3rd birthday to my littlest flower helper!🌼

One thing I’m most grateful for with Little Blue Thistle is the flexibility to work around my boys, to be there for the little moments and sometimes bring them along for the flower-filled ones!

I hope that as they grow, they’ll see their mom building something she loves and know they can go after their dreams too. So grateful to be this kid’s mama.🩵✨

Loved being part of Self Care Saturday at Align Yoga & Wellness which happened to fall on World Mental Health Day.

It was so lovely to see people making time for themselves, and to bring a little flower-filled creativity into their day.

Flowers can bring a sense of calm, and arranging them gives us a chance to slow down and be present.

Thank you to everyone at Align Yoga & Wellness Align Women’s Health for having me, and to everyone who stopped by. Always grateful for opportunities to share flowers and connect with our community.

I spend a lot of time thinking about flowers.🌸

What varieties will work together. What colors feel right. How many stems I need. Whether I ordered enough flowers — and inevitably grabbing an extra bunch or two, just in case.😂

But lately, I’ve been thinking about how much Little Blue Thistle has grown in such a short time. What started as an idea and a flower cart has turned into workshops, celebrations, corporate and wellness events, collaborations, and so many opportunities I never could have predicted.

There’s still so much I want to do with Little Blue Thistle, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here!

The sweetest way to celebrate a 16th birthday ✨

This past weekend was all about flowers, creativity, and connection. I loved seeing this group of friends hand-paint their own vases, choose their favorite blooms, and create bouquets to take home as a keepsake from the celebration.💐
