Some pictures of the Project being raced for the very first time by Jason Subbert in Fairmont on July 25th. This chassis has waited 42 years to get to race and it was amazing. Considering it has manual steering and racing technology from 1978 It ran good and handled well. The car will race again in Fairmont on August 15th.

Hey race fans. Well we finished the build and we had the opportunity to show it at the Fairmont Raceway on July 25th and boy did we have a good time. Kenny enjoyed showing to friends while they entered the races. Doug drove KP around the big half mile for the national anthem and Ben drove his car along side them. All three racing Petersens on the track together for the very first time. I even got to race it for the first time and that was incredible. The car is a lot of fun and we look forward to sharing with racers and fans for years to come. Thanks to everyone for the support to help this come together. Jason Subbert

Hey race fans it’s been a long time coming but this Saturday the VegaVette will hit the racetrack at the Fairmont Raceway for the very first time. We will have the car on display before the races and Doug Petersen is going to drive Kenny around the big half mile for the national anthem. We will also race the car with the Nostalgia Dirt Series cars. It’s also Hall of Fame night so if you enjoy racing you don't want to miss the races this Saturday, July 25th at the Fairmont Raceway.

Yesterday at the State Bank race event we had the opportunity to show off the finished 1979 Vintage Late Model “VegaVette”. It was a great day as we worked hard to get the car done and now we will work on getting it race ready. Can’t wait to get it on the track!

Project 76 was headed by a trio of local motor sports fans who restored a 1979-80 race car and gave it a much-needed face lift.

Project 76 needs to say thank you to Jesse and Dana Olson along with the entire Medieval chassis crew for all the chassis work on the vintage car. In Mankato they put new coil over springs on the car, revalved the shocks, aligned the quick change rear end, set the pinion angle, fabricated a new right hand panhard bar and mount, set all ride heights, scaled the car and got it balanced without hanging any lead. They have a state of the art faucility and an amazing team. They have never worked on a 42 year old concept late model before the Medieval team did a great job of making a great car even better. Thank you Jesse and Dana for your commitment to Dirt Track Racing!

A special thank you to Hargan’s exhaust in Fairmont for the exhaust pipes for the 76 car. Paul did and awesome job on this one and his Dad Lon Hargan built the exhaust on the original VegaVette in 1979. Nice work Hargan family!!
