Want a cleaner lake? Go https://mn.adopt-a-drain.org/. Adopt a storm drain and help stop what is entering our lakes. I go a bit crazy with the 2 drains by my house. The leaves get so thick on my street with all the beautiful trees in the park. Today we had 6 bags of leaves we took to the brush site. This could be a full time job for the next couple weeks as the leaves drop. Help keep the drains clear even if you don’t adopt the drain on line. It’s super satisfying. I admit, I clear the whole darn street but the hood looks great and the drains are free of debris.

The Interlaken Heritage Days board and committee will be meeting on Monday, September 21st at 5:30 p.m. in the Gomsrud Park shelter house. During this meeting, we will be holding board elections as well as starting to make plans for the 2027 festival. There are five open board member positions, and officers will also be elected. Anyone interested in helping to plan the festival, in any capacity, is highly encouraged to attend this meeting! We really need the help!! The best weekend of Junking in Iowa. My heart will always be with the Jewell businesses and the way they collaborate and really pull for each other. Then of course I do love the Milford school house and all those gals there. Especially my dear friend Brenda from JB Knacker. It’s where my love for all things vintage started.
