Our campers have done it again!

After just one week of rehearsals, 47 young performers (ages 5–14) are ready to bring Missoula Children's Theatre's Rapunzel to life on stage. It's amazing to see how much these campers accomplish in such a short time, and we couldn't be prouder of all the hard work, creativity, and confidence they've built throughout the week.

Join us on Friday, July 24 at 7:00 PM for this FREE community performance and help us celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Evelyn Gamrath Summer Camp. Whether you have a camper performing or simply enjoy supporting local youth and the arts, we'd love to see you there!

Freewill donation baskets will be available at the performance, with all proceeds going directly back into the Evelyn Gamrath Summer Camp programing so we can continue providing this unforgettable experience for young performers for years to come.

In just ONE WEEK, 44 campers (ages 5–14) have learned, rehearsed, and prepared Missoula Children's Theatre's Aladdin. An incredible accomplishment that takes teamwork, dedication, and a lot of heart!

Join us for their FREE public performance on Friday, July 17 at 7:00 PM and see all of their hard work come to life on stage. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Evelyn Gamrath Summer Camp, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate this milestone with our community!

Admission is free, and freewill donation baskets will be available. All donations go directly back into funding the Evelyn Gamrath Summer Camp, helping us continue to provide this incredible experience for young performers for years to come.

On Friday, May 1st, the man himself brings his signature "Prairie Home Companion" style to Fairfield with Garrison Keillor Tonight: an evening of stand-up, storytelling, audience song, and poetry.

One man, one microphone. There are sung sonnets, limericks and musical jokes, and the thread that runs through it is the beauty of growing old. Despite the inconvenience, old age brings the contentment of LESS IS MORE.

There is the News from Lake Wobegon, a town booming with new entrepreneurs, makers of artisanal firewood and gourmet meatloaf, breeders of composting worms, and dogs trained to do childcare.

And an acapella sing-along with the audience singing from memory an odd medley of patriotic songs, pop standards, hymns, and ending with the national anthem.

Starring Matt Vee, nephew of ‘60s pop legend Bobby Vee, and featuring a stellar ensemble of singers and musicians, this heartfelt tribute recreates the music and magic of one of the most iconic singer-songwriters in American history.

This isn’t an impersonation; it’s a celebration. With stunning vocal performances, rich harmonies, and stories that span a career of more than five decades, this show honors the depth and legacy of Neil Diamond’s beloved hits. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or simply love a good sing-along, it’s an unforgettable night of timeless tunes and feel-good nostalgia.

Plus, for a handful of numbers, Matt Vee and the Killer Vees will be joined onstage by our very own Fairfield High School Vox choir students for just the right touch!

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center shares that Executive Director Lindsay Bauer will be stepping down from her role, with her final day planned for May 1.

Lindsay has accepted a new opportunity that represents the next step in her professional journey. While we will miss her leadership, we are deeply grateful for the care, vision, and dedication she has brought to this work.

Since joining the organization in July 2020, Lindsay has led the Center through a period of challenge, growth, and renewed connection. Under her leadership, the Center expanded programming, launched new initiatives, and strengthened its role as a place where our community gathers, connects, and experiences meaningful moments together.

The organization remains in a strong and steady position. Our leadership team is fully in place and actively guiding day-to-day operations, and the Board of Directors will begin a thoughtful search for the next Executive Director. This work has always been about loving our community well, spreading joy, and building a powerful community of curious and kind adventurers here in Southeast Iowa, and we are committed to continuing that work.
