Today was bittersweet as Josh Plante was honored and remembered by a donation of close to 1,000 lbs of bacon, sausage and charcuterie from The Fermented Pig to Food for Others. We loved doing this as the food carries on his passion and legacy for “feeding the community”.

We're serving up some of our summertime favs this week, including this tender and juicy flank steak topped with chimichurri sauce alongside cubed potatoes and onions. Chimichurri is a zippy sauce, originally from Argentina, that combines fresh herbs with olive oil and seasonings. Happy July 4th, everyone! Wanted to share an idea for a quick, easy, beautiful fruit and yogurt parfait that would make for the perfect post bbq dessert this year -- simply layer fresh blueberries with lemon yogurt (we're obsessed with Icelandic Provisions' Lemon Extra Creamy Skyr lately), then top with cut up bits of watermelon (or strawberries, or even pomegranate seeds). Patriotic, light, and delicious!
