Ever have one of those happy, and sad days? Today is the end of a chapter for us. The KC’s Red Hots trailer has sold! I loved the trailer, and the business my wonderful wife and I built, but it was time for a change. For everyone ever associated with KC’s Red Hots, whether our help, or a customer…thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made it all worth while. The biggest thank you however goes to my beautiful bride. Thank you for everything…I love you with all my heart.

They say that all good things come to an end. I took a joke( at that point being in a machine shop for 31 years, telling people if it didn’t work out I was gonna buy a Hot Dog Cart and start slingin’ Dogs) and turned it into a very well known business in the local food vendor world.

My beautiful bride, Karen L. Carlin and I worked our butts off season after season cranking out Hot Dogs, Burgers and the best Fries in the area. Now those days grow short. We decided two months ago that 2022 would be our final season, and put a For Sale sign in the window of our beloved Red, White, and Yellow trailer.

Unless I get rambunctious coming into the end of the season and book more dates, we have two dates left on our calendar. This Saturday, September 17th we’ll be at the St Albans Bay Harvest Festival at the Park, Noon to 4:30. Then Saturday, September 24th we return to a favorite spot of ours, 1st Republic Brewing Co. on the River Rd in Essex Jct.

I will be posting some things in the near future including details on the sale of our trailer and equipment. Thank you everyone who supported us over the years, it’s been fun, and I will truly miss every minute I have spent cooking for you.

So tomorrow we head out early to be at Vergennes Day on the Green in the heart of town from 10 AM-3 PM. That’s always a great event with a lot of different vendors.

Then we tear down there and head to 1st Republic Brewing Co. on the River Road in Essex Jct to serve it up from 6-9 PM, with music by JerBorn. If you haven’t heard him, you’re missing out, so stop by for some great music, awesome beer, and what’s sure to be some marvelous food. We might even be running a couple specials for our friends there!!

Hey Folks, Two events to catch us at this week: Tomorrow 4:30-7:30 PM at St Albans Bay Park for the Farmer’s Market, and Saturday back at the park for the St Albans Bay Brewfest! Looks like the weather will cooperate so we should be good to go!

Coming up next week, we’re back at the Bay Thursday for the Farmer’s Market, always with live music, and then Saturday we’re out at two events. 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM we’re at the green in Vergennes for Vergennes Day....always a great event with plenty of vendors. Then we make our much anticipated return to see our friends at 1st Republic Brewing Company on the River Road in Essex Jct! Can’t wait!! So make plans, and come out and see us!

Usually I look forward to Thursdays at the St Albans Bay Farmer’s Market at St Albans Bay Park because there’s always live music, and what goes better with cooking than live music? However, if there’s one thing I’ve learned over my years as a mobile food vendor, if there is rain in the forecast, I might as well stay parked at home. Unfortunately todays forecast is being hindered by Mother Nature and right in the middle of things there is a good chance we might experience some moisture. So, KC’s Red Hots will not be at the Farmer’s Market tonight, August 4th, 2022. Thanks for your continued support and we’ll see you soon.
