Under the Stars was last week, and we still can't stop thinking about all the fun we had! One of the event's biggest highlights was the premiere of our video featuring Nellie Stone Johnson Elementary (NSJ). 🤩

Camp Fire Minnesota has partnered with NSJ through the Afterschool Explorers program for six years. Our staff visit the school weekly to help students develop outdoor learning skills and explore green spaces in their community. This year, youth at NSJ have been working with our naturalists to plant and care for their own garden! 🥕 🪏

Check out the video to see how this special partnership is helping students learn and grow. If you feel inspired, consider making a donation to our Under the Stars fundraiser! We only need a few more gifts to unlock our $100K match. Give at 26STARS.givesmart.com and help us continue our vital youth programs.

We are so grateful to everyone who took part in Under the Stars 2026 yesterday evening! 🫶🏽

Our community helped us raise an incredible $97,701 in support of Camp Fire Minnesota’s nature-based programs for Twin Cities youth.

A generous anonymous donor is matching every donation up to $100,000, doubling the impact of your contributions and bringing our total to $195,402! These funds will enable us to deliver our programs to over 11,000 youth each year.

Help us close the gap and reach $200,000 so even more young people can experience the joy, healing, and confidence that comes from time in nature! Donate today: 26STARS.givesmart.com. Every gift, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal! 🎯💫

This incoming fall weather has us reflecting on all the fun we had this summer, and all the wonderful people who made that joy possible. We want to say a MASSIVE thank you to our incredible camp team for operating such a successful summer program this year! 🙌

For 12 weeks, our staff kept their energy high and responded to the needs of each and every one of our campers. Their dedication and positivity never cease to amaze us!

While our counselors were busy at camp, the rest of our programming team continued to offer our mobile environmental education program to youth in the Twin Cities, while also supporting our afterschool partners.

The efforts of our extraordinary staff helped thousands of young people connect and grow in nature over the summer! We can't thank them enough for their hard work.

If you want to share your own message of appreciation to our team, post it in the comments! 💌
