For so long, I was afraid to be my true, authentic self. I created music that wasn’t honest about where I really was in life. I spent years trying to please other people and be the person they wanted me to be, instead of embracing who I truly am.

That’s why performing in these spaces is so important to me. It’s more than just music—it’s a reminder that authenticity matters and that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

So, to the younger version of D.R., and to anyone out there who thinks being their true, authentic self isn’t possible or isn’t an option, I’m here to tell you that it is. Be yourself anyway. Shine anyway. Live your truth anyway. Haters be damned.

If it hadn’t been for people living their truth and inspiring me to live mine, I wouldn’t be here today.

You Are So Very Loved.

🕯️🏳️‍🌈❤️ Today and always, we remember the victims, survivors, families, and the entire Pulse community.

Today marks 10 years since the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. On June 12, 2016, 49 innocent lives were taken and 53 others were injured in what remains one of the deadliest acts of violence against the LGBTQ+ community in United States history. Pulse was more than a nightclub. It was a sanctuary. A place where people could laugh, dance, love, and simply be themselves without fear.

Ten years later, we still carry the names, stories, and memories of those we lost. We remember the families whose lives were forever changed. We remember the survivors who continue to heal. And we remember a community that refused to be broken by hate.

The Pulse tragedy became a defining moment for LGBTQ+ people across the country. In the face of unimaginable grief, our community showed extraordinary resilience. We mourned together. We stood together. We fought for one another. And we continued building spaces where everyone can feel safe, seen, and celebrated.

As we gather throughout Pride Month, we do so with both joy and remembrance. Pride was born from courage, strengthened through adversity, and sustained by generations of people who refused to disappear. The best way we can honor those lost at Pulse is to continue creating a world where every LGBTQ+ person can live openly, authentically, and without fear. This year, to hold space for all those we’ve lost, to carry their love with us, and to honor our loved ones, we saved a seat just for them during our Pride Festival and Parade. 🌈

To the 49 souls we lost: you are not forgotten. Your lives mattered. Your love mattered. Your legacy lives on in every Pride celebration, every act of advocacy, and every person who finds the courage to be themselves.

Today, we invite our community to take a moment of reflection. Light a candle. Say their names. Share their stories. Hold your loved ones a little closer.

20 seconds of the last night with and all I can say is you’re welcome for this video 😂🌈🫶👏 Evansville showed UP for pride this year and I’m so honored to have been able to capture it up close. The front row gay reactions have me cackling. Thank you to RCP for giving the local lgbtqia+ community such a beautiful celebration yesterday. And thank you to for existing. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈✨🫶🔥

Am I enough for your gallery?

An ode to artists.
This is undoubtedly the best creative makeup look I’ve ever done. Shoutout to for bringing me this idea and letting me bring it to life. We hand made each prop and styled an outfit that felt Picasso inspired. Hope these make you stop your scroll and stare a little.

A few BTS of pride collection!! Available NOWW. SUPPORT BUSINESSES THAT SUPPORT OTHER SMALL ARTISTS.

I can’t even describe the immense feeling of joy and accomplishment it brings me to photograph for brands like The Kitschy Cactus. Working with other lgbtqia+ brands feels so aligned for me as a q***r person understanding the logistics of all these crazy internet biz things. But more than that getting to create with every day people, my own community, and furthering the concept that q***rness can look so many ways has been deeply healing work for me. It feels surreal a brand as established, intentional and FRIGGIN BEAUTIFUL like The Kitschy Cactus would see ME a Midwest q***r artist and choose me to capture their art. Thank you SO MUCH 🥹🥲🌈🤝✨

Go grab your fav pair of earrings for pride season and know you’re supporting handmade intentional lgbtqia+ affirming businesses and individuals. 🫶 your dollars count.
