The Woman’s Club of Evanston – Building Community, Friendship and Leaders

More than 125 years ago, a group of visionary women formed The Woman’s Club of Evanston to address pressing social issues and unmet community needs. Since 1889, the WCE has been a transformative community force, volunteering thousands of hours and making hundreds of financially significant philanthropic grants. Each year, WCE members raise and contribute more than $125,000 and 15,000 hours of volunteer service to local not for profit organizations. With a vibrant community of nearly 400 multi-generational members, the WCE continues to shape the future of service and philanthropy in Evanston and surrounding communities.

Today the tradition of philanthropy and service continues.

Our mission is connecting women behind a shared purpose of volunteerism, social empowerment and community support.

The WCE continues to advance women, hosting events like International Women’s Day; programs on current events and culture; and Premier Events including the Holiday Bazaar, WCE Review, Dreams Delivered Prom Boutique and Spring Benefit. Through active involvement, members develop as community leaders and form lifelong friendships.
