And… We’re Now Cookin’!
WCE members came together for 2027 Revue signups and got a little taste of what’s in store for Now We’re Cookin’—our next musical comedy adventure!
Members sang a little, danced a little, laughed a lot, and connected with fellow cast members. And the best part? No experience was required!
The 2027 Revue will benefit Care for Real, a food pantry serving the Rogers Park community.
A huge thank-you to everyone who signed up—and to Show Producer Angela Valavanis for getting us ready to take the stage!

WCE Members Pack Up for WasteShed!
Members rolled up their sleeves to help The WasteShed, a nonprofit creative reuse organization, pack up art and craft supplies as they prepare to move to their new location.
By giving these materials new life, The WasteShed keeps useful supplies out of landfills while supporting creativity and education. We were happy to lend a hand and help make their move a little easier!

"A little WCE history!
In 1910, The Woman’s Club of Evanston purchased land for $8,000—but just a few months later, members traded it (plus $4,000!) for our current home at Church Street and Chicago Avenue.
From the beginning, WCE envisioned this space as a hub for women to gather, serve, and strengthen our community. Members raised funds, took out a bank loan, and proudly paid it off by 1925!

Evanston Urban Quest was a HUGE success!
What a day! Teams raced around Evanston, solved clues, completed challenges, and had a whole lot of fun—all while raising money for ARTSiE, the beneficiary of The Woman’s Club of Evanston’s Spring Benefit.
And congratulations to The Bazaaros, who took the win with a whopping 620 points!
A huge thank you to the hosts and guests for making the Evanston Urban Quest such a memorable adventure.
Fun + friendship + giving back = Better Together!

Today, members create flannel hearts for NICU babies at Evanston, Delnor, and Central DuPage hospitals, providing comfort and connection for babies and their parents.

Dreams Delivered
The Woman’s Club of Evanston believes every student, regardless of means, should be able to attend senior prom. In that spirit, we created Dreams Delivered.
Each spring, our historic clubhouse becomes a special prom boutique where students can choose free new and nearly new formal dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories—helping them celebrate prom with confidence and joy.

Say hello to Julie — mom, personal trainer, Pilates instructor, community advocate, and all-around go-getter!
Julie’s ideal day starts with an early morning workout and a good cup of coffee, followed by a trip to the farmers market with her family, exploring Evanston, getting outside for a bike ride or hike, and ending the day at the beach with family and friends.
Movement is Julie’s daily non-negotiable. As a personal trainer and coach, she works with private clients and leads high-energy group fitness classes, while also teaching Pilates in Evanston. She brings that same energy to the community, serving on the ESCCA board and co-chairing the Community Grants Committee at WCE.
When she’s not teaching or working on community initiatives, you might find Julie coaching her daughter’s youth softball team, planning the family’s next adventure, traveling, checking out local Evanston spots, or spending time with friends and family.
We’re so glad to have Julie as part of our community! Say hi in the comments and tell us what your perfect Evanston day looks like!
