Day 4 of Bean Acres Farm Camp was packed with fun!

This morning, campers enjoyed crafts, games, and archery before taking a break for lunch.

This afternoon, we were excited to welcome Adley from Thompson Appalachian Hardwood. She taught the kids about the importance of trees and all the amazing products that come from them. The campers had a blast playing games, especially when prizes are involved.

To top it all off, every camper received a wooden car that was made by a group called Toys For Blessings. They get their wood from Thompson Appalachian Hardwoods.

It’s hard to believe tomorrow is our last day of camp this week. We’ve had an amazing week full of learning, new experiences, and great memories.

Today our campers learned from some amazing guests:

Mr. Win Phipps shared all about beekeeping and the important role bees play in our world. He even brought out an observation hive with over 20,000 bees for the kids to see.

We welcomed Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Robbie Wilkinson and K9 Karma, along with Juana Escalante and K9 Freja, and Patrick Stefanski with K9 Marko. The campers loved learning about the incredible work these K9 teams do.

This afternoon Laurel and Madison from Animal Care Center taught us about caring for animals and what it’s like to work in veterinary medicine.

We also squeezed in some bunny snuggles, archery practice, and plenty of farm camp fun!

Day 2 of Bean Acres Farm Camp was a blast!

This morning, TWRA Officer David Lowrie taught our campers about fishing, wildlife safety, and even led a fun fishing game that everyone enjoyed.

This afternoon, Sam and April from the Wi******er Fire Department visited camp. Campers learned about fire safety, explored the fire truck, and even got sprayed with the hose!

We also had Show & Tell and a Talent Show, where our campers got to share their special items, skills, and talents with friends.

We had a great first day full of fun, learning, and farm adventures. Best of all, we managed to dodge the thunderstorms and enjoy our time outside!

We’re looking for a few more ladies to be part of our “Be You” Girls Camp for preteens on June 15–19!

Do you have a career, hobby, skill, talent, or passion you’d be willing to share? Whether you’re a business owner, artist, nurse, farmer, baker, teacher, crafter, or have a unique talent, we’d love for our girls to learn from you!

We’re also looking for a few ladies who would be willing to help us start the day with a prayer and short devotion.
