August is the best month to get married here in the Colorado mountains. The weather is gorgeous and it’s not as crowded the fall.

When your bride asks you to get moody 🖤

I usually say no when couples as me to adjust my editing style. But when Abby told me she wanted her photographer to show up as an artist on her wedding day, that changed everything.

Black Canyon Inn has the best view of the Rocky Mountains and the moody edits just feel right for these wedding colors.

Now I’m rethinking all of my editing! Should wedding photos feel crisp and clean, or should photographers, excuse me, artists, have the creative freedom to adjust based on the feeling of the day?

Discover the magic of Wild Basin, one of Rocky Mountain National Park's most beautiful sections. 🌲✨ Just a little off the beaten path, this often quieter corner of the park rewards visitors with cascading waterfalls, shaded trails, towering pines, and breathtaking mountain views. During this timed-entry time of year, you can access this part of the park without a reservation before 9am and after 2pm. Go at your own pace and bring plenty of water and snacks to enjoy along the way as you take it all in.
