“I had never found joy in flowers, until I was gifted one of your bouquets.”

This was part of a comment left on one of our social media posts this week.

It blew us away, not because of the praise, but because of the impact. Sometimes the right flowers find someone at just the right moment, and something shifts. That’s the thing we’re chasing every day. Not just making something pretty, but making someone feel something they didn’t expect to. That’s the joy of the job.

Some days, the weight of running a business feels overbearing.

The farming side of what we do especially has a way of humbling us. The weeds don’t stop growing. There are always more plants waiting to go in the ground, always something that needs fixing, always a list that somehow refills itself the moment we cross the last thing off. It’s rinse and repeat, season after season.

There are days I question all of it. Days where I wonder if the long hours, the sore back, the endless to-do list, are actually worth it.

But we don’t give up. We show up the next morning, even when we’re tired. And somehow, the better days always find their way back to us. A good harvest. A kind customer. A quiet moment where we look around and remember why we started.

Owning a business is like being caught in waves. Some pull you under, some carry you forward. The trick is just to keep swimming.

To anyone else out there in the thick of it: you’re not alone. Keep going. 💐
